About Me

In 2001 while traveling in Spain, I discovered “The Camino De Santiago” also referred to as the “The Way”. . . I walked the five hundred miles completing this life changing experience which began my journey into becoming a therapist and starting the practice of helping others on their journey.

My journey continued as I went on to earn an undergraduate and then master’s degree from the School of Social Work at the University of Georgia.

I pursued licensure and am currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (GA License # CSW004082) and have been practicing over the past two decades.

I gained experience in working with clients as they go through the legal/court system with addiction, anger management or domestic violence. As I moved into private practice, I began to work with mood disorders like anxiety and depression. I also started to focus on trauma being at the core of compulsive behavior that can lead to addiction.

While I have been specializing in pornography / sexual addiction, as well complex trauma. I also work with clients experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder, betrayal trauma, depression, anxiety, and substance abuse.

I am a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist. I also have certifications in EMDR and TEAM CBT.

Reflecting back at my journey, I look at therapy like walking on the Camino. . . Starting on a life changing journey, then walking side by side building a mutually respectful client therapist relationship, offering guidance, expertise, and techniques in recovering from mental and behavioral struggles. . . then celebrating the healing, progress, change, and recovery as we walk along “The Way.”

If you’re ready to start or continue your journey into therapy, then I would be honored to share it with you.
